Queen Elizabeth II has a large
family and an adorable group of kids to play with as a grandmother. She has
eight grandchildren, and apparently she has a favorite among them.
If you thought that the Queen
likes Prince William the most, you would be wrong. It’s true that she has
worked with him closely for many years, training and mentoring him for the
future. After all, he is the second in line and the future King of England. But,
her duty to mentor him to be a good leader has reportedly made this relationship
“half family and half business,” according to E! News
royal correspondent Melanie Bromley.
Who then does the Queen like the most among her
grandchildren? Prince William’s younger brother Prince Harry is reportedly the
one that the Queen has a “special place in her heart for.”
There have been some hints about Prince Harry being the Queen’s favorite. In her Christmas message, for example, there were a set of framed pictures
on the table. Apart from the pictures of her great-grandchildren, Prince
Philip, and Prince Charles with Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall; there was
also a picture of Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle.
Even before their marriage, the Queen showed her love for
Prince Harry by allowing him to bring the Duchess of Sussex for the family’s
Christmas Day church service even though they weren’t married at that
time, which is a break from tradition.
The Queen has also broken
rules by giving her daughter Princess Anne’s son Peter a “courtesy title.” Even
though the parents turned down that offer, some people think that it shows
Peter may be a strong contender to be the Queen’s favorite grandchild.
While it is debatable who the
Queen’s favorite grandchild is, one thing is for sure- she has some great
looking great-grandchildren. Check out some of their pictures over at CBS News, the pictures show the kids in some hilarious
poses.
